What I cannot find anywhere, however, is information on True Norte, Inc., reported as the new name of Wade's MZM, Inc. in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia.
I need help trying to make heads or tails of True Norte, Inc.
More details under the fold.
I've found two 2001 civil judgements against him, and a 1991 wrongful termination suit that went against him (in his capacity as mayor of Boise).
I've posted the details in comments on this thread at ePluribus Media.
What I'm asking for in this diary (hopefully not wasted) is help gathering details on these records. I have searched Nexis and Google for any news stories on the two civil judgments AND the 1991 lawsuit and cannot find anything yet. I don't know if I'm just using the wrong terms, or what, but I just can't find anything.
I need your help. Please check the records in my comments and help me verify them.
Some of the research into Tom Monaghan and Ave Maria that has been done by ePluribus Media has provided an interesting list of avemarialist.org's Internet "neighbors".
You might be surprised, you might not - but under the fold, we'll show you who's in Mr. Monaghan's Neighborhood. [UPDATE: I am sorry that in my haste to post this diary yesterday I neglected to credit those who contributed this information at ePluribus Investigates: highacidity, luaptifer, susie dow, and sawcielackey.]
In the article, Cohen talks of Russia's enabling of Iran via its reactor deals and the possible sale of ballistic missiles. The article leads with this:
Is Russia deliberately destabilizing the Middle East while benefiting from resulting higher energy prices? Sometimes it sure looks that way.On March 6, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit Washington to discuss the Middle East. On March 3, a high ranking delegation of Hamas will visit Moscow at President Vladimir Putin's invitation to meet with Lavrov. A coincidence?
Russia is aggressively courting Iran and Hamas -- the two most destabilizing factors in the Middle East after Al Qaeda and Hizballah.
But the article boils down to one interesting statement:
James Jay Carafano of the Heritage Foundation agreed that the administration's preview Monday "doesn't really solve the problem," which is the ability to push help in the critical first 72 hours of a crisis and unify the government under one command. Both tasks are now beyond FEMA's power, he said.
I guess Mr. Hsu does not realize that Carafano is one of the principals behind the Heritage Foundation report that the Bush administration used to craft its new plans for FEMA?
We received a tip by way of Moon of Alabama that there were some interesting connections evident in the email.
The work led by kfred resulted in ENRON FILES: Abramoff? Reed? Delay?? Yes. My own tack, remembering that GOPUSA board member Charlie Weldon was an Enron employee, resulted in Help Us Dig through Enron Email: GOPUSA.
A sample of our discoveries below the fold, but first, an invitation to come dig through the Enron dirt with us.
WHAT A HUGE PILE OF BULLSHIT.
Don't step into it.
Well, Harry was doing a "year-in-review" show, playing bits that he'd done throughout the year. But as I don't get to hear "Le Show" every week, I was caught by surprise when he started talking about one of our favorite characters from 2005, James D. Guckert, or as we first knew him, Jeff Gannon.
H.J.Res. 55 would require President Bush to announce a plan for the withdrawal of all United States Armed Forces from Iraq by December 31, 2005. Further, the measure would require the President to initiate such a withdrawal as soon as possible but not later than October 1, 2006.
This resolution has 62 co-sponsors and has been sitting in the House Armed Services and International Relations committees since it was introduced on June 16, 2005.
My own Congressman, Rep. Pete Visclosky (D, IN-01), had this to say on a request to sign a discharge petition, which would bypass the committee process and bring the resolution to a vote on the House floor:
In the spirit of the Thanksgiving holiday we are celebrating in the U.S. today, I am thinking about ways that those of us at ePluribus Media can give thanks to those of you who have supported our efforts throughout 2005.
One of the things we've been discussing behind the scenes is the creation of a blogroll. Many of you out there have been kind enough to give your support to us, and I (for one) would like to offer our supporters an opportunity to be recognized.
If you have a blog that you would like listed in a "Friends of ePluribus Media" blogroll, please post a link here in the comments.
The final decision on posting this blogroll will lie with the ePMedia Board of Directors, but I promise I'll put in a good word for all of you.
Of course, Bush's answer was a flat out "No." Gotta maintain Executive Privilege.
That's the first moment that I saw the connection between the Roberts nomination and the Miers nomination; they both have done work for a Republican White House, and their legal opinions are both going to end up hidden behind Executive Privilege.
Coincidence or plan?
Most likely. He had a big hand in it, as he called out to the International Association of Fire Chiefs to send first responders to Atlanta to be trained in "Community Relations."
R. David Paulison, of course, is Bush's choice to replace Michael Brown as Director of FEMA. No wonder! It's because he gave him some firefighters to pose for photo ops.
FEMA has asked the International Association of Fire Chiefs and the Metro Section of the IAFC/NFPA to get this request for assistance from FEMA to the fire service to help FEMA respond to disaster recovery efforts.
[snip]
FEMA will accept the fire chief's certification on the application forms as the equivalent to a federal background check on the individual team members. Jurisdictions will be reimbursed for the teams and teams will be provided brief initial training in Atlanta as Community Relations Response Teams to prepare them to assist the citizens in the disaster area.
For details, please read the message below from the Chief R. David Paulison, U.S. Fire Administrator.
This shit needs to hit the fan.

In order to make sure the Cedar Lake Dairy Queen was made safe from the evil machinations of al-Qaida, the government loaned them $284,000 in 2002.
That is one heck of a lot of Mr. Mistys.
The funds were made available to the SBA by way of the Supplemental Terrorist Activity Relief Act, part of the Defense Appropriations Act signed by President Bush on January 10, 2002.
More under the fold.
I imagine that there will be some time added to hearings because of this development.
I cannot believe that Roberts would be a good Chief Justice given his record.
Nothing more to add.
[UPDATE: 6:50 a.m. CDT] CNN reporting that Bush to make announcement from White House at 7:00 a.m. CDT.
Now would be an ideal time to contact the ONE campaign: remind them about Pat Robertson's call to assassinate Venezuela's president, Hugo Chavez, and let them know in no uncertain terms that they need to dump Pat Robertson.
Yet what do we see reported in the news today? Senate evacuated! Airspace violation! Jets scrambled!
Do you remember when this happened on May 11th of this year? Right after Tom Ridge made disparaging comments about the DHS color-coded alert system? Keep reading.
Today's New York Times has an article, "CIA Expanding Terror Battle Under Guise of Charter Flights, that does a pretty good job of identifying the ever-growing circle of CIA front companies and aircraft toting individuals around the world for interrogation and detention.
The graphic representation in the link above identifies a double layer of operating companies and a few of the individuals that the companies have in common.
What I want to do here is provide a place for any further identification of facts about these people and these companies.
