With the media and blogs all over the campaign debt issue, I thought I'd look at John McCain's debt to get an idea of where he's at.
So, he's got the same "Schedule D, Line 12" debts and obligations that both Clinton's and Obama's respective campaigns have.
McCain's Line 12 debts and obligations total $1,342,360.12, which puts him at about twice that of Obama, and about 1/6th of that of Clinton.
However, it's McCain's Schedule D, Line 11 debts and obligations that I want to know about.

McCain's campaign says it owes all of these media organizations a total of $74,469.41 -- for what?
Hell, I know McCain barbecued for the press, but now he's paying their travel expenses, too? WTF?
I'm sure there's a completely innocuous answer out there, I just don't know what it is... or is there?
UPDATE: MissLaura points out that Schedule D, Line 11 is for reporting debts owed to the campaign. Still, that's $75K that McCain shelled out up front to make the lives of his media entourage more comfortable, that I don't see Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama shelling out. Again, maybe I'm not looking in the right places, or maybe I just don't understand, or I'm not forgiving, because it just looks plain bad to me.
