A couple of LTE links were provided a day or two ago on this story; this is from a newer and very active progressive organization that I think could use the credibility from a strong campaign. Instead of being a single voice in the papers, add your support to Progressive Majority's chorus. Also, if you're pressed for time you can use their form letter response.
Here's the link

Here's mine:
Sir, you and the state GOP's office are bringing shame to Washington, particularly when you assault an election recount procedure that was certified as clean by both Democrats and Republicans involved, including the head of the process, like yourself a member of the GOP.
A manual count is designed by law, and judged superior by peer reviewed analysis, to be the final count in this election. You have lost it, no matter how many counties added votes--a list that includes many Rossi-leaning localities, who added votes during the recount specifically for you as well as your opponent. The fact that the largest county in Washington leans Gregoire, takes the longest to recount, and offers the greatest opportunity for ballot error, does not suggest any malfeasance or fraud.
Your newfound interest in counting all suspect votes in all counties, or accusing King of taking advantage of selective counties, rings enormously hollow. Your party went on record not a WEEK before as adamantly opposed to that very thing. Now that the law of certification has hemmed you in, you are without argument. As such, unless you also want to be found without pride, decency, or respect for the rule of law in your home state, I urge you to wise up and call it quits.
